Winter is fast approaching and Public Works and NHDOT are preparing the public streets and sidewalks for snow plowing.
One item that residents can help with is moving their portable basketball hoops that are on or near the roads and sidewalks so they are not hit by plow trucks and tractors.
The hoops can damage the snow removal equipment or the equipment can damage the hoop itself.
No later than November 17th please move portable basketball hoops at least five feet back from the edge of roads or sidewalks as the weight of the snow coming off of the plows can knock portable basketball hoops over damaging them and anything that is in their path.
